Squidoo, a new service I've been testing for the last few weeks, has now gone into public beta. (There hasn't been an announcement yet, but I've got the green light to go ahead and tell you about it.) The site is really a more long-tail version of About.com - anyone can create a "lense" on a topic they're interested in and explore the lenses of others. The good bit: there's a revenue-sharing system, so lensemakers will supposedly get paid for their efforts. This is great - hopefully it will inspire more companies to pay users for the content they create.
