Facebook has graduated from chairs to couches.

The social networking giant dipped its toes into advertising in 2012 with an odd ad that declared "chairs are like Facebook" and again in April with an ad set around the dinner table. After a period of inactivity, Facebook is back with a new round of ads that show how real-life experiences can be facilitated via Facebook.

In the ad above, a group of twenty-somethings graft some skis on some old couches for some winter fun. Facebook presumably makes the moment possible. Another video features an older woman and some friends signing up for tango lessons:

"Runner" shows a guy getting support for his marathon training from his Facebook friends:

The lifestyle-focused ads -- which were created by Wieden + Kennedy, the same agency behind he chair ad -- have been shared on Facebook's YouTube channel and, naturally, on its Facebook Page. In an example of a brand "eating its own dog food," Facebook has used Promoted Posts to disseminate the videos and posts in its News Feed.
