Facebook apps appear to have overtaken MySpace codes as the hot new thing. Three more, freshly plucked from our inbox:

iGoogle: We just said that Facebook is becoming a startpage - but that doesn't mean you don't want to embed iGoogle on Facebook. This one has been around a while, and just joined the directory. (via)

LivePets - For $1, you can adopt a virtual pet to embed on your profile. Penguins, monkeys, bears and more. Seems like the cost of $1 may put people off now that there are thousands of Facebook apps. also note that one developer already destroyed Facebook's own Facebook gifts service (buy gifts for friends for $1) by releasing a free gifts app - not even Facebook can sustain the paid model.
