Facebook has apologized for accidentally deleting a post by British non-profit Article 19 that linked to a Human Rights Watch report about Syrian torture centers.

"@hrw publishes a shocking report into #torture in #Syria including geo-tagged detention centres http://ow.ly/bZ6Yl ^OS," the post read.

According to the Guardian, Facebook had flagged the post as offensive.

"The link was reported to Facebook. We assess such reports manually and because of the high volume, occasionally content that shouldn't be taken down is removed by mistake," a Facebook spokesperson told the Guardian. "We're sorry about this."

Is Facebook's automatic flagging on undecent content worthwhile if it means occasionally losing valuable posts? Let us know what you think of the system in the comments.
