Those dog pics fueling your Facebook feed may be for good. Thousands of people around the world are posting their pups to cheer up an Arizona teen in treatment for cancer.

Sixteen-year-old Anthony Lyons was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia last year and currently undergoing chemotherapy. Pet therapy was introduced as part of his treatment, meaning canine visitors help brighten his days in the hospital.

However, the therapy dogs can't visit every day. To cheer Lyons up, a family friend created a Facebook event called Photo Doggies For Anthony, inviting people all over the world to share pictures of their dogs and put a smile on his face.
