Facebook has unveiled a new ad spot for Home, the social network's user-interface skin for Android phones, just two days after its launch
Called "Airplane," the ad is running as part of Facebook's first-ever television campaign across U.S. network and cable programming, according to Katie Hull, a spokesperson for Wieden+Kennedy Portland, the advertising agency behind the ad. "Airplane" shows a businessman who is able to inject a little excitement into an otherwise uneventful plane ride by connecting with friends through Facebook Home. Facebook's campaign launched Saturday in an online post, as well as during the NCAA March Madness's Final Four games on CBS.
The social network unveiled its first ad for Home on Thursday. More ads are slated for release "in the coming weeks," Hull said.
