Facebook said today that they've added the ability to list screen names from multiple IM clients in the contact info section of Facebook profiles. Previously, only AIM was included; but since other clients are very popular outside of the US, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, Jabber and Gadu-Gadu have all been added to the list. This, they hope, will help to accommodate international users.
Is this a sign that Facebook's new regional networks are seeing good growth outside the US, turning Facebook into an international phenomenon? Maybe, but there are currently conflicting stats on how successful the site's new open policy has been.
