Report: Facebook to Launch Non-English Sites

Facebook is reportedly considering launching non-English versions of the site as it expands internationally. There is no word on which languages would be targeted first or when the sites would launch, but according to the company, “… International growth is one of a few things that we are very focused on right now." Facebook is already showing strong growth in the UK, where it recently passed MySpace as the most popular social network.

Rival MySpace already offers versions of its service in Spanish, German, French, and Italian. Meanwhile, Friendster recently announced a Chinese version of its social network.
