It is being rumored that Facebook will be announcing an online music service on May 21st.
Facebook is supposedly lining up several partners from the music industry for their music service, which is sure to be a hit amongst Facebook users, and a rival to MySpace Music and Bebo Bands. Not sure how Facebook Music will work, but it's something that many Facebook users have been waiting for. As the music market continues to grow, people are looking for more and more ways to incorporate autonomous music offerings within existing social networks, as well as leveraging the Internet for the launching of music careers. That is, you'll remember, what MySpace set out to do.
Personally, I'm looking forward to any offering that Facebook has in the way of music services. Photos are about the only type of media that is easily shared among their users, and if they can match this ease, their music services will be very useful.
Another rumor, started here on Mashable, says that Facebook Classifieds is headed for launch.
