Facebook sent out invites Friday morning for a press event set to take place later this afternoon at the company's New York headquarters.
Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's chief operating officer, will be joined by Mike Schroepfer, Facebook VP of engineering, U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
