Facebook announced today a relaunch of its My Privacy page. They've added "sparklines" - static images that look like sliders and show how high or low your privacy settings are for each part of the site.

Digging deeper, the new Profile Privacy page gives yet more control over which of your networks can view your information, like deciding who can view your online status, photos and Wall. The controls for search results, the Facebook news feed, pokes, messages and friend requests, plus Facebook Notes and the Facebook API, also now follow this system. In fact, there must be hundreds of possible privacy combinations you can now set up - it's a little overwhelming.

In related news, there's coverage today of the CIA's Facebook page. The CIA is recruiting spies on Facebook, using a group that already has 2,500 members since its launch in December. Let's hope all those potential spies have their privacy settings turned to the max.
