As we sip our sugary soda and furiously click through our News Feeds, taking a look at the murals by an Italian street artist, who calls himself Mister Thoms, might give us pause. His surreal, hilarious and yet poignant paintings comment on everything from advertising to the Internet.
His most recent work, entitled "Like a Vision," depicts a maniacal looking man obsessed with chasing the coveted Facebook Like -- a subject matter many people can probably relate to.

Mister Thoms also produced a time-lapse video of him creating the piece from start to finish.
As well as being a muralist, Mister Thoms is a cartoonist, painter, writer, sculptor and filmmaker. More of Mister Thoms other work can be found on his website or on his Tumblr site.
