Black Lives Matter activists in Minneapolis have protested every day since a police officer there fatally shot a black man named Jamar Clark on Nov. 15.

Some activists say the 24-year-old was handcuffed when he was shot, a claim police have denied. Protesters want the city to release any video that pertains to the shooting, which officials have so far refused to do.

Officers tore down an activist encampment outside a police station early Thursday morning, though protesters plan to keep demonstrating.

Protesters in Minneapolis have come to the forefront of the Black Lives Matter movement over the past month.

Photographer Angela Jimenez captured the portraits of some of the people who came out to demonstrate in Minneapolis.
