By now you're probably sick to death of the iconic Fail Whale, who has been bobbing around a lot lately due to World Cup-induced downtimes. Well, if Twitter is your bread and butter when it comes connecting with friends and followers, allow us to offer the following suggestion: "Let them eat cake." Twitter cake that is.

We've seen some awesome tech-inspired confections in the past -- see the iPhone wedding cake and the MacBook cake, for example. But this one takes the...well...cake. This thing -- designed by Mariana Pugliese, a cake designer from Buenos Aires -- looks like it's slathered with enough icing to put one in a sugar coma to rival the worst of Twitter outages.
