Fallout 4 is happening.

Bethesda Softworks released the first trailer for its open world, post-apocalyptic game, with more to be revealed at its first-ever E3 press conference on June 14. The trailer flashes through scenes of the game's patched-together world, with a few moments hinting at a Boston-area setting.

Bethesda teased Fallout 4's announcement Tuesday, with images based on previous titles' loading screens. The most recent games in the series -- Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas -- used bombed-out versions of Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas, respectively, as their primary settings. Fallout 4's Boston location had been rumored in the past, and the trailer seems to confirm it.

The trailer confirms that Fallout 4 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. Stay tuned for more info in less than two weeks, when Bethesda reveals all at E3.
