The latest social network to appeal to our vanity: Famesters, launched today by Fameish Media, owner of A Socialite's Life.
It's a simple Drupal-based network with profiles and a forum, plus the ability to climb from the D-List to the A-List of web stardom. Contests are hosted and points awarded to users.
It's pretty simple and there's a few too many "coming soon" pages, but you get the gist. It's similar, in fact, to TeamSugar, the celebrity and fashion network owned by Sugar Publishing. The only difference: it's not as good. Hopefully some improvements are coming down the pipe, however, since it's early days for Famesters.
