Sorry, True Detective -- but if the early footage of Fargo Season 2 is any indication, there will be no sophomore slump here.

The latest installment of the FX crime anthology takes fans back to the midwest, this time circa 1979, when an officer fresh from Vietnam (Patrick Wilson, playing the father of Allison Tolman's Molly Solverson) returns home and finds himself in the thick of a murder investigation that quickly gets complicated.

The trailer is the first extended look at the show's return, and with the footage comes the realization that everyone in freaking Hollywood appears in the new season.

Expect to see Kirsten Dunst (sporting a Midwest accent that makes our Drop Dead Gorgeous-loving hearts soar), Jesse Plemons, Nick Offerman, Ted Danson, Jean Smart, Brad Garrett, How I Met Your Mother's titular mom Cristin Milioti, Bokeem Woodbine, Kiran Culkin and Jeffrey Donovan -- to name a few.

Fargo Season 2 debuts in October.
