Poor fbFund Applicants. Deja Vu, Anyone?

The recently launched fbFund may be facing its second round of backlash after sending an email out to applicants requiring them to complete a submission form instead of simply sending an email to Facebook. Well, it makes sense that Facebook would have a submission form for all these folks in the first place, but that wasn't the case. So weeks after the fbFund was announced, all those poor souls have just found out that none of the material they sent via email will be reviewed. As a matter of fact, it's been deleted.

So in effect, the application process has been simplified, on their end at least. For the developers that have already sent emails hoping to get in on the fbFund, it's like the worst kind of deja vu. Considering the absence of an NDA, and other small details that will need to be taken into account, like the submission time of an applicant, its product, and the possibility of another similar submission, why didn't Facebook create an application process in the first place?
