The feed management company Feedburner announced this morning that they'd acquired Raleigh-Durham-based Blogbeat, the blog analytics service. Blogbeat will be integrated with Feedburner by Q4 2006 - during that time, Blogbeat support will continue and existing customers will receive refunds from Feedburner. However, Blogbeat will no longer be taking on new users. Blogbeat's founder, Jeff Turner, will become Feedburner's Lead Engineer of Web Analytics. The value of the acquisition will not be disclosed.
