Here's another interesting statistic: The number of downloads actually exceeds the number of Internet users globally.

Of course, there would be nothing for users to download without the work of thousands of talented developers who create the add-ons in the first place.

Although we don't usually get into subjective claims from technology brands, we feel comfortable repeating the assertion that the Firefox web browser is the most completely customizable web browser available.

Firefox reached the one billion add-on downloads mark in early 2009. At that time, its share of the browser market was 22%. As of May 2010, Firefox had captured 24.5% of the browser market.

To celebrate this landmark, the Firefox team has assembled a collection of 25 of the best add-ons for its browser.
