Out in the West Midlands Safari Park in Worcestshire, England, one of the parks' residents took the very first "elfie" -- you know, an elephant selfie.

Latabe the elephant snatched up a dropped cellphone and took a very flattering photograph of himself grazing in his enclosure, the BBC reported. The phone belonged to Scott Brierley, 23, who was taking photos inside the park when he accidentally dropped his phone next to the African elephant enclosure. After Brierley was told to not exit his car, the elephant took ahold of his phone (presumably, he thought it was food), and in doing so, managed to capture quite the self-portrait.

Park officials told Brierley to stay in his car; after his phone was returned to him by keepers at the park, he found it had two photos of the elephant. Brierley shared that he might be in possession of the world’s first elfie, but according to copyright laws, it might not actually belong to him.

PetaPixel observed that whomever takes the photo is the owner of that image, so technically speaking, Latabe the elephant is its rightful owner.

Head keeper at the park, Andy Plumb, said park's staff is "very proud" of Latabe's apparent photography skills.
