An eerie video showing the opening and closing shots of 55 iconic movies just became every cinephiles' favorite thing on the Internet.

Vimeo user Jacob T. Swinney created the supercut to show how important opening and closing frames are for exploring a film's dynamic themes and elements, according to the video's description. Some shots show similarities between the beginnings and ends of movies, while others show drastic changes.

Full disclosure: Paul Blart: Mall Cop didn't make it into the video.
