The first trailer for CBS's Supergirl is somewhat of a journey in itself.
Released Wednesday afternoon, the first look at the series, starring Melissa Benoist as the titular heroine follows an extraordinary young woman who's ready to ditch her ordinary existence and embrace her super future, costume and all.

The fun and rather lengthy sneak peek, which you can watch above, comes the same day CBS announced its fall schedule, which has Supergirl slotted for a November premiere and a Monday night timeslot.
