An aquatic themed carousel is opening in Battery Park in lower Manhattan. It's called the SeaGlass Carousel, and it features fiberglass fish moving up and down and spinning on turntables.

The project has been in development for 10 years to the tune of $16 million. It started as an effort to light up a dark part of the park, where the old New York Aquarium stood until 1941.

The ride opens to the public on Aug. 20 and a ride will cost $5.
