Flickr announced 20under20 on Monday, a program that highlights 20 of the world’s most extraordinary young photographers under the age of 20.
The 20 photographers were selected by a panel of influential Flickr photographers -- Lou Noble, Cuba Gallery, and Rosie Hardy -- and Vice President of Flickr, Bernardo Hernandez, based on creativity, technical talent and overall strength of portfolio. The selected photos will be curated by Vogue photography director Ivan Shaw and showcased at Milk Studios in New York on Oct. 1.
One photographer, Laurence Philomene, was chosen by Shaw out of the group to receive the Curator's Choice Award. She will be mentored by Shaw over the next year.
Some of the 20 young photographers below are now 21, but they were 20 throughout the selection process, Flickr told Mashable. Take a look at the winners below.
