The photo sharing site Flickr has come up with two unique ideas for the holidays. First off, they're allowing users to "give the gift of Flickr" by purchasing a special activation code to enable a Pro account - it doesn't matter whether the recipient has an existing Flickr account or not. A one year account costs $24.95. Even smarter: they've created a Gift Certificate that you can print out, fold, and present to your special Flickr'd friend.

The second change is that the two gigabyte monthly upload limit for Pro accounts has been removed - there are now unlimited uploads for Pro users. What's more, free account holders receive an increase from 20MB per month to 100MB. It's a neat little idea on Flickr's part, and I'm sure we can expect to see more "gifts" from social sites in the coming days.
