The application, appropriately named FlickWalla, leverages Gowalla's API to let users save their Gowalla photos on Flickr.

Getting started is a simple three-step process. First, grant FlickWalla permission to access your Gowalla Passport, then follow FlickWalla on Gowalla and finally give the application access to your Flickr account. Once completed, FlickWalla will post existing posts shared via Gowalla, and those posted thereafter, to Flickr with appended geodata and a link back to the original in the photo description area.

For now, FlickWalla fills a void and offers Gowalla users the opportunity to stash their photos elsewhere on the web. Realistically, FlickWalla, and its predecessor, will have limited lifespans as both Gowalla and Foursquare will likely add support for auto-posting to Flickr in the months ahead. Still, FlickWalla could help the small UK shop behind it get noticed, and perhaps that's the team's real motivation behind building the simple app.
