Here's your chance to live the simple life. Stone Age simple.

Along the drive on I-280, between Hillsborough and San Francisco, California, there is a practically prehistoric-looking house that locals have dubbed The Flintstones House, and it's reportedly going up for sale for $4.2 million. (Fred is making quite a few clams on that resale value.)

Despite appearances, the house was not built by a nice couple from Bedrock. It was constructed by architect William Nicholson in 1976 as "an experiment in innovative building materials," according to Curbed. "The blob-like form is made by spraying a kind of concrete on metal frames molded over balloons."

The house is listed through Alain Pinel Realtors in California. The interior, according to Curbed, is a little more whimsical and updated due to a remodel that took place in 2007.

So, if you were hoping for an octopus dishwasher and a pig garbage disposal, you might be out of luck. However, feel free to bring your own pet dinosaur when you move in.

UPDATE, September 4, 2015, 9:29 a.m. EST: Alain Pinel Realtors reached out to Mashable with official photos of the famous house that has captivated locals for decades. These photos offer a special peek at both the interior and exterior of the house.
