To many, food is art. There's something spectacularly satisfying about preparing beautifully constructed cuisine. In fact, any chef will tell you that a large part of the job rests on designing an aesthetic just as delicious as the dish's taste.

You, too, can master this artistry in your kitchen, and if you do, there are great benefits. If you're cooking for kids, this may ease the burden by exciting the young ones with some animal-shaped snacks. Or, if you're preparing simple, everyday foods for yourself, there's always an opportunity to dress up the dish. And now with the ability to share our beautifully crafted meals with friends via social media, younger generations are getting more creative with their creations, and are stepping up their food art game.

And, hey, if your toast just so happens to resemble a Michelangelo or Picasso, you won't be complaining ... simply noshing.

Here are 10 meals that are so adorable we literally would like to eat them -- a true feast for the eyes and mouth.
