Let's party like we won't have another chance to do so for 18 years!

After all, an extremely rare lunar eclipse will happen Sunday night and if you're the type to want a late-night snack, you might as well make it thematic, right?

So many things are going on with this lunar eclipse, so let's celebrate every last ounce of it:

The last time this happened was 1982: Diet Coke

Just for the taste of it! You might as well take a trip back in time to the year when Diet Coke first hit the market. Just be sure to feather your bangs while you're at it.

Only happens once in a long while: A fine scotch

This should cost roughly as much as your first-year-of-college wardrobe and you should feel a little guilty every time you drink it. That way you know it's the good stuff.

It's a Sunday night when the pope is visiting the U.S.: smoked salmon toasts

That whole "loaves and fishes thing," ya know? It's a perfect appetizer, perfectly themed.

It's also China's Mid-Autumn Festival: Pork of some sort

This traditional food and family feast most likely includes pork. Pork is a good omen in Chinese culture, and while it might not bring you the wealth and blessings it promises, you can at least count on being blessed at that meal. Stuffed into traditional mooncakes, lacquered with sweet glaze or stewed into silky submission, it's a treat at any time of year.

Moon turning red: Spaghetti and meatballs

As the moon's creamy whiteness is tinged with red, so will your fusilli be stained with long-simmered tomato sauce. If you don't have the patience to make meatballs, a good bolognese also does the trick.

This supermoon looks 14% larger than it looks when the moon is at its farthest point from earth: giant Reese's peanut butter cup

This is really just an excuse to eat a giant peanut butter cup. Like you really needed one.

Midnight snack: Moon Pie

If you don't eat one of these at an entire event dedicated to the moon, you're missing the greatest food pun of all time.
