Football is a brutal, brutal game predicated on the semi-controlled violence of grown men colliding into one another with astonishing force for 60 minutes at a time. But, as the video above proves, not even small children are exempt from the sport's barbarous nature.

The clip, which comes to us via the sports blog Deadspin, shows an epically unfair matchup between a behemoth ballcarrier and tiny would-be tackler -- and ends with the plucky little dude getting absolutely steamrolled. Kid's got heart, but sometimes that only gets you so far.
