All hail the red, white and blue.
Independence Day is a time for enjoying fireworks, eating hot dogs and watching United States presidential candidates show just how much more patriotic they are than their competitors.
Check out our list, below, of what the 2016 candidates are saying and doing this Fourth of July weekend:
The Democrats
Lincoln Chafee
Former Rhode Island governor Chafee kept his message simple and apolitical by wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July.
239 years ago brave patriots brought us independence and freedom! #IndependenceDay Let's all enjoy the day and celebrate. #Happy4thJuly -L— Lincoln Chafee (@LincolnChafee) July 4, 2015
Hillary Clinton
Former Secretary of State Clinton also wished her supporters a happy Fourth, and spread a message about equality.

On Saturday, she walked in an Independence Day parade in New Hampshire.

The Republicans
Rick Perry
Perry is in New Hampshire this weekend, celebrating Independence Day, while courting potential voters. The former Texas governor encouraged his Twitter followers to honor the United States' "active military members and veterans."

He may also ride a motorcycle. Because nothing says America like riding on the open road -- without a helmet, we might add.
This Independence Day I ask that you remember to thank our active military members & veterans for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.— Rick Perry (@GovernorPerry) July 4, 2015
Lindsey Graham
South Carolina Sen. Graham tweeted a similarly patriotic message.

Chris Christie and Marco Rubio
New Jersey Gov. Christie and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio had a sleepover Friday night at 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney's house, according to The Washington Post. Christie said on his Facebook page that it was a "great night" with "good friends."
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));A great night out in Wolfeboro with good friends. The two 2016 presidential candidates are also joining an Independence Day parade in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Romney participated in the same parade in 2012 during his presidential run.
Rand Paul
Kentucky Sen. Paul took Independence Day as an opportunity to campaign.
In a video posted online Saturday, he said, "We must choose whether we will pursue the cause of liberty, or continue on a path to an out-of-control government that attempts to control every aspect of our lives."

"Amidst the fireworks and the barbecues," Paul continued, "please take a moment to remember the words of President [Ronald] Reagan -- that 'Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.'"
He also advertised his word-search puzzle, which asks people to find all-American words such as, "liberty," "firework" and "patriots."
Happy Independence Day! Have you completed this word search? https://t.co/8rEC9v5pVs— Dr. Rand Paul (@RandPaul) July 4, 2015
Mike Huckabee
Former Arkansas governor Huckabee paid tribute on Facebook to those who serve in the armed forces. He asked supporters to share the post if they agreed with its message.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));Posted by Mike Huckabee on Saturday, July 4, 2015
Huckabee also showed his love for the U.S. by posting photos of homes flying the American flag, and asked Facebook users to share why they are proud to be an American.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));Proud Americans from South Carolina, Virginia, California, and Tennessee flying their flags this 4th of July weekend. He is also rolling out his official campaign logo, in parts, over nine days via Instagram.

His Fourth of July plans include participating in two New Hampshire parades, and hanging out with former President George H. W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush -- a.k.a. his parents.
Donald Trump
Businessman and TV personality Trump shared his Fourth of July pride in all caps.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO EVERYONE! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 4, 2015
Carly Fiorina
Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, took a longform approach, writing a paragraph on her Facebook page that highlights her political beliefs -- namely, less government involvement.
"The right to fulfill your potential comes from God, and should not be taken away by man or government," she said.
