Frame Media, the company behind the recently launched FrameChannel, has raised $2 million in series A funding. The round was led by CommonAngels and Longworth Venture Partners.

As you may remember, FrameChannel is a tool that connects your images from across networks to whatever distribution channel you see fit, from digital picture frames to desktop widgets, and even screen savers. With the funding, Frame Media is looking to further push its web-based platform for managing and delivering images to wireless digital picture frames.

In doing so, the company is working on both ends of the solution here, having entered talks with frame manufacturers and semiconductor companies to ensure that their products will be compatible with FrameChannel in time for the holiday season. Sounds like FrameMedia will be taking a very specific approach to ensuring the promotion and satisfaction of its product.

What I like about this tactic is that Frame Media will now be able to offer a bundled package of sorts for holiday shoppers. It appeals to every aspect about the holiday season. And what other deals will be present for Frame Media, in terms of the digital frame manufacturers it's working with?
