FreeShipping.org is holding its third annual Free Shipping Day. On Friday, Dec. 16, more than 2,000 retailers will participate in the event by offering free shipping with delivery by Christmas Eve in the contiguous U.S.
According to a press release by FreeShipping.org, online sales hit close to $1 billion on last year's Free Shipping Day, Dec. 17, 2010 -- beating Black Friday for Internet sales.
