Freeze a Moment in Time for Our Photo Challenge

For this week's edition of the Mashable Photo Challenge Guest Series, we want you to freeze a moment in time. Capture that fraction of a second when you pop a floating bubble, throw paint, or play with splashes of water. The best submissions will frame your subject down to the exact millisecond.

Guest curator Alex Koloskov specializes in splash photography. He uses water, milk, corn syrup and paint to create stunning photographs of flying liquid. Koloskov is the founder of Photigy, a large educational source for studio photographers. Many of his tutorials are hosted on the site.

"When I photograph flying liquid, I freeze its motion," he said. "The worst thing is to have blurred motion of the droplets, so I need to make sure the action is stopped."

Follow the directions below to submit your photo and Koloskov will choose his favorite submissions to feature on Mashable. "A well-composed photo is one in which the background plays together with foreground," he advised. "And it is good when there is a meaningful concept in the photo."
