The Spanish woman whose botched restoration turned a church's fresco of Jesus into what a BBC reporter described as “a crayon sketch of a very hairy monkey in an ill-fitting tunic” wants to get paid for her blunder.
Cecilia Giménez has hired lawyers to fight for a cut of the approximately $2,600 brought in by the church from tourists coming to view the painting. The church has also reportedly lawyered up in anticipation of an ugly -- like, really ugly -- art battle.
