Bret Taylor from FriendFeed, the lifestreaming service from the ex-Googlers, just dropped me a note to inform us that they've just rolled out a significant upgrade to the service: search. You might think it's a late addition to the service from folks that came from the search giant, but up until this point the service has been pretty well received, with only one notable exception.

The new function allows you to search over all of your friends' shared items, an individual person's items, or search all of FriendFeed.

The most interesting function the service provides in additional utility is that you can restrict your seraches to any of the services that FriendFeed supports; for instance, you can search all of your friend's tweets for mentions of you (and all of the comments on FriendFeed of those tweets).
