These Friends' jobs may have been a joke; they may have been broke, and their love lives may have been DOA (clap, clap, clap, clap), but at least they always had a place to sit at Central Perk.

During a Netflix binge-watch of the '90s sitcom, Bustle reporter Tanya Ghahremani noticed a subtle, yet kick-you-in-the-crotch-spit-on-your-neck fantastic detail in the Central Perk set that explains why the iconic couch was always free for the gang -- it was reserved for them.

Ghahremani spotted the "reserved" sign placed on the coffee table in several of the scenes, often hidden by napkin dispensers or mugs.

But this does bring up a slew of new questions: Were the friends paying off Gunther to give them a standing reservation? What kind of coffee shop allows for reservations? Did Central Perk charge a cancelation fee if someone didn't show up on time for their reservation? Were they on a break? (It's always relevant.)

Either way, let's hope Starbucks doesn't get any ideas.
