FuzeBox customers currently host more than 76,000 online meetings per day, in 122 countries and in 10 different languages. The company's new iPad app allows people to attend those same meetings on their tablet, taking advantage of the device's updated features.

“Apple’s new iPad has become the killer collaboration device thanks to blazing fast 4G network speed and the crystal-clear retina display,” says FuzeBox CEO Jeff Cavins. “Businesses that are adopting the Apple ecosystem no longer have to sacrifice quality of experience or service when it comes to visual collaboration.”

Fuze HD for iPad offers multi-party video conferencing for up to 10 users at once, where all of the parties on the call can not only been seen, but also interact with video, text, images, and other media during the presentation. Users can zoom in on images, for instance, with the iPad's pinch-to-zoom functionality.

“Its much more than a meeting, it's pure visual meeting” Cavins told Mashable.

During a presentation, presenters can play videos, show images, or mark up images with a virtual pen for other attendees in the conference. While video and control support is limited to just 10 people, the app can support conferences of up to a 1,000 people simultaneously, with others participating via phone and VoIP. Participants can also join a conference directly from their iPad, phone or any computer connected to the web.

The conference is synced up to the frame for everyone participating, no matter what the quality a person's connection may be. So for instance, if you were an ad agency trying to collaborate on your latest ad, you could talk about the exact same frame of video with colleagues around the world simultaneously -- even if one of those colleagues was connected to a less-than-stellar data network.

For the annotations feature, Cavins sees it as a potential collaborative tool for doctors who want to share information about a patient with a colleague across the country, or on the other side of the world.

Conferences using Fuze can be recorded, including any annotations, zooming or other moves that were made during the conference and played back later by those who participated, or for someone who may have missed out on the meeting altogether.

Fuze for iPad is available now from the app store. The app is a free download, with service running $69 per month or $669 per year to host meetings. Attending meetings is free.
