ABC is playing it anything but safe with their newest comedy Galavant.
It's a musical, it's ridiculous, and it's a show that's going to appeal a very specific audience. That audience being people with an amazing sense of humor, of course.

If the song strikes you as punchy, that's because the team behind the series, starring Joshua Sasse as the title character, are no newbies. Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love) serves as executive producers and the music comes from composer Alan Menken ( Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted) and lyricist Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid, Tangled).
Our best advice: Learn the lyrics now because the tune will be stuck in your head for weeks. The series premieres Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET with back-to-back episodes.
