If Game of Thrones knows anything, it's death.
George R.R. Martin isn't afraid to kill off one (or two, three or four) of his main characters, regardless of their Westerosi lineage. After all, Valar Morghulis.
With so many people to kill off, Martin and HBO show creators D. B. Weiss and David Benioff are getting more and more creative with plotting each demise. It's proof that while death might be the great equalizer, all deaths are not created equally.
More importantly than how these characters die, though, is why they die. Were they simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was it a strategic move in the war for the Iron Throne?
We've examined 20 major deaths from the television series and compared them to one another based on creativity and justification.
