On the surface, Game of Thrones and Guardians of the Galaxy don't seem to have much in common.
HBO's GoT is a bloody tale of the battle to rule seven kingdoms from an iron throne. It features swords, beheadings, dragons and a dual-syllabic, name-repeating gentle giant. Guardians of the Galaxy, on the other hand, is a rollicking movie about an unlikely band of space criminals who join forces to save the galaxy. It's filled with space ships, explosions, death rays, a talking raccoon and one hulking tree-like being who repeats one line throughout the two-hour movie.
