Another interesting integration for your Gtalk and Google Chat: you can now show your shared items from your Google reader with people from your GTalk/GMail buddy list. You can make them visible to your buddies from Google talk, and they'll be able to see your Reader items in the chat tool. This makes it a lot easier to share the items in your personal feed reader, and essentially integrates your feeds with your chat.

Future Integration?
Will Google be adding more options for sharing feeds, or keep it limited to your Google Reader? I think this integration specifically with Gmail chat is that it's a pretty stationary tool that's already present with your email. So adding feeds to the mix is yet another extension of its functionality. Incorporating feed-sharing options with most other chat tools wouldn't have quite the effect as Google's integration, as most of them are downloadable software that operate from your desktop, though integration with other IM clients would be handy as well.
