'George Lucas' protests new Star Wars movies

The rest of the world may be ecstatic about the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, released Thursday and viewed more than 40 million times on YouTube alone.

But there's one Star Wars fan who isn't happy with what he's seeing of the new movie, especially its lack of Jar Jar Binks: George Lucas.

Or rather, it's comedian Josh Robert Thompson, familiar to viewers of Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show as, among other things, the voice of Geoff the skeleton robot. Here, as captured by fan Nicole Wiseman, Thompson took his version of Lucas to picket Star Wars Celebration, the four-day Lucasfilm festival that just wrapped up Sunday in Anaheim, California.

The real Lucas has had nothing but praise for J.J. Abrams' take on the franchise Lucas sold to Disney in 2012, although he did admit in conversation with Stephen Colbert at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend that he was one of the few fans who hadn't seen the new trailer yet.

But this video is for anyone who suspects George might still prefer to see Jar Jar in The Force Awakens -- as well as anyone still fuming about the fact that Greedo was made to shoot first in the Special Edition of the original movie.
