GeoTwitterous: Personalized Twitter on a Map

Here's another Twitter Google Maps mashup that's a bit more personalized than similar apps. GeoTwitterous, which is actually a Yahoo Pipes and Google Maps mashup for Twitter, according to Wired, will show you a location-based look at the Twitter updates from your network.

Based on users' location as designated in their profile, or any location-oriented text they place in their Twitter updates. Once you provide GeoTwitterous with your Twitter profile name, the relevant Twitter updates from your network will be tagged on a worldwide map. Click on any of these tags, and you'll see the most recent updates from that user that pertain to the tagged location.

This doesn't appear to be a dynamic view of your network's location-tagged twitter updates, and is heavily reliant on the frequency of your network's own updates. Aside from this, the relevancy of GeoTwitterous is also diminished (in some capacity) by the fact that the location-tagging could easily have little to do with a user's actual location.
