Irish politician Gerry Adams is pumped to tell the world how much he loves Pierce Brosnan.

Especially now that the leader of Irish political party Sinn Féin and the 63-year-old Irish actor bear a striking resemblance to one another. Case in point:

Brosnan spotted in London, sporting a the look for a film, looking eerily similar to the Sinn Féin leader, a fact that was not lost on Adams.

He was quick to tweet his approval of Brosnan's new look.

Adams even made a short video complimenting Brosnan.

The role Brosnan has transformed for draws striking parallels to Adams own life, and the appreciation of the look appears to be a nod to that fact.

Brosnan will play a fictional ex-Irish Republican Army (IRA) member turned government official named Liam Hennessy, according to Irish news outlet The Journal.

Adams has repeatedly denied involvement in the IRA, despite many accounts to the contrary. The armed movement long sought to overthrow British rule from Northern Ireland using political violence.

The tweet is just the latest to come from Adams' popular Twitter account, which paints him more as a fun-loving (possibly senile) uncle rather than a highly controversial politician.

Adams is apparently a big fan of a morning trampoline session.

I've had a busy beautiful morning. Trampolining from dawn. Peeling spuds. Listening 2 Joan Baez. Chopping turnip&carrots. Off 2 Mullingar.— Gerry Adams (@GerryAdamsSF) February 8, 2015

He also has a rather large, and growing, collection of rubber ducks.
