Who you gonna call? All the funny ladies!

Paul Feig, who signed on to direct the Ghostbusters reboot in early August, has confirmed that comedy writer Katie Dippold will help co-write the script and the film will star a team comprised of all women.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news, which Feig then tweeted about on Wednesday.

It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call.

Dippold is best known for penning The Heat (Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy), which Feig also directed. Dippold cut her comedic writing teeth working on NBC's Parks and Rec.

The Ghostbusters project was originally announced as a sequel to the 1984 hit, most likely starring members of the original cast. But after the death of Harold Ramis, script editing issues and original director Ivan Reiman pulling out, the sequel was restructured.

Feig is known for comedies like Bridesmaids.

Twitter was thrilled about the feminist twist to the classic film, with several fans begging for Feig to consider casting stars like Kristen Wiig and Tina Fey. McCarthy would also be a shoo-in, considering that she has starred in several of Feig's films.

new Ghostbusters cast must at least include Wiig, Poehler, Fey and McCarthy with Carol Burnett as the mayor

Original Ghostbuster Bill Murray also recently weighed in on his casting opinions, mentioning Linda Cardellini (Freaks and Geeks, Mad Men) and Emma Stone, as well as Wiig and McCarthy.
