The patients at Tufts Medical Center's Floating Hospital for Children got a sweet surprise on Saturday when the cast of the upcoming Ghostbusters film visited, Proton packs and all.
Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Melissa McCarthy took a break from filming to snap photos with patients and their families.
On its Facebook and Twitter pages, the medical center thanked the ghost-busting actresses for lifting spirits. "Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces," the Facebook post read.

Thank you again to the #Ghostbusters cast for "accepting the call" from our very creative pediatric patients! pic.twitter.com/4GimWWAfk7

For one mom, the visit couldn't have come at a better time. "My family was having a really rough week," she wrote on the hospital's Facebook page. "The visit from these ladies was an uplifting treat. It wasn't just a promo photo op."
She also had a word of advice for the numerous Ghostbusters "purists" who spammed the hospital's post with criticisms of the all-female squad. "No matter how you feel about the movie remake, you should do well to remember that this visit meant a lot to the people receiving it."
