GizaPage, which launches today, is a social network organizer that aims to make this process a lot less daunting. Yes, we've seen the idea before — think chi.mp and Cliqset — but GizaPage has a few extra twists worthy of mention, one of which is to provide you with a public profile webpage with all your social profiles side-by-side.

With GizaPage, users start by importing their contacts from LinkedIn, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Plaxo, Hotmail, Lycos, Orkut, or Rediff Mail. This makes it easy to connect if these contacts join GizaPage at a later date. The next step is to individually add new sites, or "pin profiles," to your GizaPage.

There's more than 40 sites to choose from, and the list includes obvious favorites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, and more niche services like Pandora, Furl, and Magnolia. The process is one-by-one, but no passwords are required, and for each site, users specify whether it should be public, private, or just accessible to friends.

The accumulated end result of social profiles is a single site with tabs that let visitors toggle through views of each of your profiles. So, if you have your Facebook, Flickr, FriendFeed, and Furl accounts configured, anyone you share your GizaPage link with can (depending on your privacy settings) quickly tab through each site to get a complete view of what you're doing, and where, online. Essentially, the idea is that you're not only owning your social identity, but also making it super simple for new contacts to find you online.

Now that Google's trying to connect the dots with public profiles, and making it imperative for you to use them, we have to wonder if a new site like GizaPage can make themselves stand tall against a giant of a competitor. Sure GizaPage does so much more, and Google profiles leave much to be desired, but with stiff competition, is there room for another social network organizer to succeed? Let us know what you think in the comments.
