The United Kingdom's biggest music festival wrapped up on Sunday, but not before performances by everyone from Metallica to Dolly Parton.

The Glastonbury Festival is a five-day celebration of performers and artists held in Somerset, England, where fans and onlookers camp out in much the same vein as the Bonnaroo festival in the United States. This year's Glastonbury marked the 31st such festival, which has taken place intermittently since 1970.

Other big names from this year included the bands Arcade Fire, Kasabian and The Black Keys as well as singers such as Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Rey. Artists from David Bowe to Beyonce have headlined in the past, and Glastonbury also showcases stage performances from theater and dancing troupes.

Below, we've compiled some of the best photos from this year's shows.
